James Palmer is an award-nominated writer, editor and publisher of science fiction and pulp adventure. He is perhaps best known as the co-creator of the popular shared world alternate history kaiju anthology and book series Monster Earth, which includes Monster Earth, Betrayal on Monster Earth, and Mother of Abominations: a Monster Earth Novel (written by Desmond Reddick), published by Mechanoid Press.
His work has appeared in anthologies published by Airship 27, Pro Se Productions, White Rocket Books, and Moonstone, and includes The Amazing Harry Houdini, Legends of New Pulp Fiction, Tales of the Rook volume 2, Mars McCoy: Space Ranger volume 2, Gideon Cain, and The New Adventures of Semi Dual.
As an editor, James created the anthologies Monster Earth and Betrayal on Monster Earth (with former comics scribe Jim Beard), Robots Unleashed!, and Strange Trails for Mechanoid Press.
James has also worked as a freelance copywriter, ghostwriter and business journalist, writing articles, press releases, and website copy for Gwinnett Business Journal, Gwinnett Magazine, address Macon, Early to Rise, Total Health Breakthroughs, and State Farm.
A recovering comic book addict, James lives in Northeast Georgia with his wife and daughter and two cantankerous chihuahuas. When not writing, he enjoys blogging about 80’s pop culture and binge watching Jessica Jones.
